The SafeGas FlexSystem is a temporary infrastructure solution for Pakistan’s conflict-ridden Karak border region. Addressing the absence of gas pipelines that forces residents to use hazardous bagged gas, this project deploys modular, demountable structures (including distribution stations, shelters, and maintenance units). All components are fabricated from fire-retardant materials with explosion-resistant properties, doubling as secure gas storage containers. Designed for rapid assembly to mitigate explosion risks, the system provides emergency refuge during conflict while enabling conversion to tourism facilities post-conflict – transitioning critical infrastructure into sustainable community assets.
